IDB loan instruments catalog

The Inter-American Development Bank trusted us to translate their catalog of investment and lending instruments into Spanish and Portuguese. The translations had to be easy to understand and technically accurate in their complex financial details. This online tool is crucial to the bank’s mission, enabling governments and other partners in Latin America to access financing for disaster response, social programs, climate adaptation, and other pressing needs.

Translation of Amnesty International standards for protecting women searchers

Amnesty International published international standards for protecting women searching for loved ones who have been forcibly disappeared in the Americas. By translating the report into English, Stewart Language Services helped Amnesty International draw global attention to the violence and attacks these women endure and to states’ obligations to search for those missing, protect women searchers, and ensure and facilitate their right to search.

Editing report on climate-smart agriculture in Central Asia

Stewart Language Services collaborated with World Bank teams in Central Asia to develop and edit policy briefs and reports on water scarcity, food security, agriculture, and climate change in the region. The end result balanced technically complex scientific and economic analysis with persuasive and diplomatic policy messages to influence high-level politicians and guide multi-million-dollar development investments to address existential threats.
